Plenty to do beyond the Ranch
There is great hiking, fishing, biking,
and bird watching as well as desert and
wilderness exploring. There are many historical
sites. Take a day trip to the towns of Cedarville,
Lake City, Eagleville, and Fort Bidwell
for dining and taking in the local culture.
Cedarville’s airport and restaurants are
only a few miles away. The Cedar Pass Ski
Area is eight miles to the west, and a round
of golf just 30 minutes west.
Enjoy your private hot tub and relax on
your deck. We have satellite TV and wireless
internet if you must stay connected.
We'll leave a list of local spots & contact
information for you on the kitchen table.
If you have any particular interests, let
us know and we'll do the fact-finding!

Local Flavor
Surprise Valley offers many opportunities
for fun and relaxation.
Drop in to town for a cup of java at the
coffee house or a bite to eat at one of
the restaurants. See local art and maybe
take in some music as well.
You'll find what you might need from books
to outdoor goods to ingredients for a sumptuous
feast back at the Ranch.
For Restaurants, see our selected dining
guide on the right.
For Local Events, see our selected Events
Calendar on the lower left.
Local Music
Drop into town on the first & third Fridays
of every month for an acoustic jam performance
at the Cedarville Senior Center. Always
a good time.
Bring your fiddle, guitar, or whatever you
play! The locals want to hear your chops,
too!

The Great Outdoors
Whether you are an avid backpacker, hunter,
fisherman, or just like a good walk, the
Fandango Ranch offers many opportunities
for fresh air and beautiful scenery.
Nearby lakes and streams offer excellent
fishing opportunities and there are many
resources for the hunter as well.
If you bring your horses you'll find excellent
rides both on and off the ranch. Visit downtown
Cedarville's saddle maker for new tack or
to see his collection of historical recreations.
Riders of the Sage Guide Service
Bring your horse or mule and ride into
an area very seldom visited by riders, viewing
spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife.
All-day treks for up to six people are available.
